Lollywood film ISHQ KHUDA to be released in Canada
Pakistan’s talented director Shehzad Rafique’s next big project Ishq Khuda (عشق خدا translated Love is God) is gearing up for a global screening. The film will be screened in Canada during a film festival on May 18, 2013.
Ishq Khuda post production phase was completed in India and Shehzad Rafique is leaving no stones unturned when it comes to standards of quality.
Ishq Khuda was originally slated for release around Eid Al Adha (October 2012) however, the release date was pushed due to several reasons.
We spoke with Hasnat Afridi who is handling the PR and Marketing of Ishq Khuda and he confirmed the news that the film will be screened in Toronto in May this year (2013).
We had been following up with him since last year and he had late last year informed us that the film’s post production was nearing completion in India.
“We are delighted to see that the film has created a tremendous hype among the audiences. Thank you for your love and support. As far as the release date is concerned, we did intend to release the film on Eid-ul-Adha but the high level post-production will take some time. So until and unless we are satisfied with the post-production results and simultaneous release in UK, USA, Canada, UAE and Australia is confirmed, we wont decide the release date of the film.”
Director Shehzad Rafique wants to deliver top notch quality, a film that caters to international audiences and tastes. In Pakistan IMGC Global is managing the distribution activity related to Ishq Khuda.
What is Ishq Khuda ?
Ishq Khuda is a journey of ishq majazi (temporal love) to ishq haqeeqi (eternal love) – Shehzad Rafique, Director
“The central method of Sufism is the development of our perception to accept love. Love is the only thing that activates intelligence and creativity, something that purifies and frees us. Being a Sufi means being capable of loving and being alert to the needs of those we love (God), and using each gesture to get closer to Him, during the 24 hours of the day.” Ishq Khuda is based on Sufism.
The soundtrack of Ishq Khuda is already making waves in Pakistan. The album includes well-known and powerful voices of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shazia Manzoor and Sanam Marvi. The soundtrack is definitely worth a listen, with tracks like Boohay Khol Bawan Dey and Do Nain Ghazali Marr Gaey standing out. The songs are aided by the capabilities of the two singers and showcase an innate competitiveness between them as they look to build on each other’s voices and reach for something memorable, reports Pakistani media.
